T minus 1 to SwimVacation 2011 - Trip #1
This was the scene yesterday in my photo studio as I packed for our next SwimVacation adventure. You lucky guests should be able to travel with one carry-on bag for your upcoming fantastic week. As team photographer, I’m lugging a little more to the BVIs.
Tonight I head to Boston, spend the night with family who live close to Logan Airport. Early tomorrow morning, quick and squishy kisses for my husband and 5 year old son, and I’m on a plane bound for Puerto Rico. There I’ll meet up with another Swim Guide, FItzy, and I’ll make him lug most of my stuff (Thanks, Fitz!) to the Air Sunshine gate. We’ll hop on a little plane and cruise over beautiful Caribbean isles and land on Tortola. Taxi cab to Village Cay Marina and flop onto our home for the next week, The Promenade.
We’ll kick off our shoes and unwind for a few minutes and be ready to greet you all as you arrive for a fantastic week of swimming and relaxing. We’ll socialize and get to know each other tomorrow night in the Village Cay Marina restaurant, and by Sunday morning you’ll forget your cares and be ready for the sea.
Sunday morning we’ll round up Guide Will, pull off the dock, set sail, and, well. You won’t be disappointed with the days that follow.
Here’s a parting shot I grabbed of our warm, over-chlorinated pool this morning. Bye bye, black line - we’re headed for SwimVacation!
Travel safe, SwimVacationers, and we’ll see you in the BVIs!
