September 2009
Hello Future SwimVacationers! Thanks for taking the time to check out our newsletter. The big news this month is that we still have space available on our November 8-14 trip. Also, I have once again included the 20% discount code and link for FINIS swimming gear at the bottom of this message. I just used it myself to buy a new SwiMP3 player for SwimVacationers.
Cheers!

March 2010 Trip Will Sell Out Fast
We've had more interest in the March 7-13, 2010 trip than any other trip to date. Registration officially opens today. If you want a room, now is the time to register. If you have spoken to me in the past few months about a spot, now is the time to make a deposit. We'll swim in at least 13 different beautiful locations throughout the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, have a conch blowing contest, go treasure hunting on a deserted island, take afternoon naps, drink fruity rum drinks. More fun than you probably deserve. Click here to for rates and details.
Will Power
After experiencing SwimVacation as a guest in April 2007, Will Thomas is joining our November 8-14 trip as a guide. Will is a fantastic open water swimmer and stroke technician, founder of the multisport production company Tri-Maine, and a serial entrepreneur. Will is also an avid triathlete, having competed in over 60 races, including Ironman Lake Placid.
On the Scene
SwimVacation is proud to have supported several athletic and charitable events this summer, including the Kingdom Swim in Vermont, the Narrow River swim in Rhode Island, the Peaks to Portland Swim and the Portland Zone Urban Epic Triathlon in Maine, the Boston Urban Epic Triathlon, and the upcoming Lobsterman Triathlon in Freeport, Maine. SwimVacation guides competed in several events, as well. Tim Fitzpatrick swam the Reston Lake 2-mile swim. Hopper, Heather, and Cortney swam the 1 mile Narrow River swim and the 2.4 mile Peaks to Portland swim. Will Thomas kayaked from Peaks Island to Portland, biked to the start of, and then ran the Boston Marathon, for a grand total of 171.1 miles. Truly Epic.

A Future SwimVacation Guide is Born
Fletcher Jude McDonough was born on August 19th to SwimVacation founder Hopper and his wife (and guide) Cortney. The 9-pound, 21-inch long child has the requisite webbed feet and gills, which will serve him well when he guides his first SwimVacation trip in the year 2030. Welcome to the world, Fletch!
